The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is just one part of the Edinburgh Festival.
In fact, there is no single Festival as such; the term is shorthand
for all the discrete festivals which take place in Edinburgh from
late July through to early September. Undoubtedly the largest of these
though, is the Fringe. Their website gives you up to date information
on shows, venues and events taking place during the Festival. Note:
The Edinburgh Literary Pub Crawl & Book Lovers' Tour's take place
more regularly than normal during the festival. |

gardensessions.co.uk
This website is a one stop shop for those seeking out the real traditional
folk music of Edinburgh, Scotland and beyond. A treasure trove of
free, easily downloadable MP3 files from many local (but some international)
artists. There's up to date Folkie News, Reviews, Lyrics and a free,
fortnightly internet radio show (or Podcast) - bringing you all the
best in new songwriting and traditional folk music. Their are many
websites catering for traditional music in Scotland (and indeed many
radio shows), but the Garden Sessions is by far the best of the bunch! |
